Storytelling Club

Mind Restoration Practice supports young people in crafting their visions, setting goals, and overcoming barriers and limitations to achieve personal growth.

Many young people today are struggling with feelings of confusion, fear and loss. Sadly, most resort to social media to cope with their emotions, often leading to further problems. Some may even end up in mental health hospitals or, tragically, take their own lives.

As mental health professionals, we have identified systems designed to distract and confuse young people! Our Storytelling Club will help remove distractions and provide a sense of direction.

What We Offer

  1. Workshops: our storytelling club consists of workshops covering the nuts and bolts of getting a young person to identify their vision, set goals to achieve them and use storytelling to communicate their journey and seek support where needed. But we don’t stop there; we also explore time management and resilience-building strategies.
  2. Open Mic Evening: Our stage is open to all young people. Share your stories, poems, or personal victories. Each tale adds a brick to their narrative of progress made and the marking of new boundaries.
  3. Mentorship: We encourage like-minded young people to share their experiences of how they weathered storms, faced their dragons, and emerged victorious.
  4. Barrier-Breaking Challenges: We work through activities to identify personal barriers and limitations. Whether it is peer pressure, negative self-image or conquering public speaking fears, we tackle barriers head-on.

Our staff include mental health specialists and coaches and are DBS checked.
